Looks like Margot Robbie is coming back to the big screen as Harley Quinn really soon!
It's been announced that Margot is returning for Gotham City Sirens, a spinoff of the popular Suicide Squad, which will feature the top female villains from DC Comics! The project will be directed by David Ayer, who also took the lead for Suicide Squad, so you definitely don't want to miss this one!
Though it hasn't been confirmed what female villains (and possibly heroes) may be included in the spinoff, Sirens was an actual comic series from DC. In the series, other ladies featured were Catwoman and Poison Ivy, so we should see them in this new film! There's no release date yet, but it's reportedly "on the fast track," so we'll see.
With the success of Suicide Squad (which grossed over $745.6 million worldwide), it's no wonder that the franchise is expanding. In fact, in addition to this new project, another spinoff may be in the works for Deadshot, the assassin character played by Will Smith.
I'm definitely trying to see this project! For one, an all-female supervillain cast would be amazing. Two, Margot killed her role as Harley, so it would be great to see her in that role again.
Are you interested in a Harley Quinn spinoff, or should Suicide Squad be left alone?
