Emma Watson Stuns on the Cover of Vanity Fair

Tim Miller/Vanity Fair

Emma Watson is absolutely gorgeous as the latest cover star of Vanity Fair!

The actress has obviously grown so much since her days as Hermione Granger, and will soon hit the big screen as Belle in the Disney remake of Beauty and the Beast (to be released on March 17). In promotion for the film, Emma sat down with the magazine, opening up about her life after Harry Potter, her own personal love of books, and how she revamped Belle for the modern world.

MUSIC VIDEO: "Best of Us"-Malone feat. Ismael Sankara & Ferricia Fatia

French artist Malone has released a new music video for his track, "Best Of Us," featuring Ismael Sankara and Ferricia Fatia!

Directed by Threzor Eihls, the black-and-white visual, which dropped a few weeks back, features Malone and his crew dancing in the streets, celebrating the positive things in life. The track itself starts out with a French verse, before breaking it down in English, but it's truly a positive song for all listeners. "There are things in life that encourage us to give the best of us," Malone said. "This song is our way to honor all the positive things in life that give us strength, motivation and end up shaping who we really are."

The 2017 Oscars, hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, took place last night, and I'm still freaking out over the winners!

Moonlight was the big winner of the night, even taking home Best Picture (after the most awkward mix up I've ever seen on the Oscars!). La La Land, of course, had wins too, especially with Emma Stone taking home Best Actress for her role!

RECAP: "Getting Home"-Being Mary Jane S4, E6

BET

I'm really loving this season of Being Mary Jane way more than the rest! Tonight's episode was a perfect example as to why...

Picking up from last week, Mary Jane is doing another small segment outside in New York's brutal winter. Right before she goes off air, she gets hit with a snowball, and goes off right after the cameras cut! The cold, her correspondent gig, and being away from home is clearly getting to her. Kara calms her down with the news that that they will be covering the Racial Justice Coalition event honoring the 50th anniversary of Thurgood Marshall's confirmation in the Supreme Court. It'll happen down in Atlanta, so both Mary Jane and Kara (who's made a power move with Garrett to go) are excited to head back home!

RECAP: "Four Tickets to Paradise"-The Challenge: Invasion of the Champions, E4

MTV

Last night's episode of The Challenge: Invasion of the Champions was a game changer on a few fronts!

Picking up from last week, we find that there's only four tickets left to make it to the Oasis. Latoya, Sylvia, Amanda, Nelson, Shane, and Anthony are all without a spot, and will still have to fight for one this week...either in the challenge or at elimination. But, until then, everyone is still struggling at the Shelter. Of course, no Challenge would be complete without hookups though. Kailah and Cory get cozy and end up making out. They both just like to have fun, and Cory is a major player, so I don't see it being anything real. Later, another potential couple emerges in Nelson and Latoya, as they bond and talk about the game. Later, they make out on their cots, and, since the Shelter is so open, EVERYONE can see them. The two get a standing ovation from the house before taking their romp to the beach!

In The Spotlight: R&B Singer Bahja Rodriguez

Another great spotlight to start the week!

Today, we have R&B singer Bahja Rodriguez (formerly of the OMG Girlz)!

Bahja grew up on the Eastside of Georgia, supported by loving parents and others around her. “When I think about my childhood, nothing was impossible,” the singer said. “No one ever said to me, ‘You can’t do that.’” With that great mentality, Bahja started dabbling in singing at the young age of 5. She did a recording then of New Edition’s smash hit “Mr. Telephone Man,” along with Zonnique Pullins (daughter of singer Tameka “Tiny” Harris and former member of OMG as well). Though she started professionally at 12, she knew that day, at only five, that she wanted to sing forever!

MUSIC VIDEO: "Take Me Down"-Pop Singer/Songwriter Julia Carlucci

New music video this morning from Canadian pop singer/songwriter Julia Carlucci for her debut single "Take Me Down!"

Directed by Merik Williams, the video features Julia performing the soulful track with a full band and background singers underneath a spotlight. Though the track, produced by Cat Lewis and Andrew Kesler, is soulful and upbeat, it tackles "the age-old battle of 'head-versus-heart.'" Julia explained further, "Take Me Down is about falling for someone you know you shouldn't. It's when your head knows better but your heart is too curious to walk away. Although the lyrics are vulnerable, I always imagined the song with a strong sound and upbeat vibe, so the production needed to be just right. It needed to have that throwback feel but still punch like a contemporary pop record and I think we definitely achieved that."

The song is definitely fire, and it was great to watch Julia perform it as well in the video. Watch below!

#MondayMotivation

Today's a holiday for many of y'all, but still, here's some #MondayMotivation to get your week started off right!

I love this quote. At the end of the day, you can't change the circumstances that come your way, but you can change not only the way you react to them, but how you work through them. Life is all about constant adjustment to obstacles, a lesson I'm glad to have learned early. Don't get so caught up in the bad that comes your way as you work towards your goals. Adjust your attitude about it and your actions, and keep working at your dreams!

Throwback Jam of the Week: "Thnks fr th Mmrs"-Fall Out Boy

It's Throwback Thursday, and we've got another great jam from back in the day!

Today's throwback is a great one from Fall Out Boy! I'm not even the biggest fan of rock music, but I LOVED this song! The video was weird, but I liked the group's energy and performance style. Plus a younger Kim Kardashian was in this, which I didn't even realize back when it first came out! Really, really strange visual with these chimps all throughout, but this was still a great song.

RECAP: "Getting Served"-Being Mary Jane S4, E5

BET

This episode of Being Mary Jane took us back down to the ATL to check in on Niecy and the rest of the Pattersons!

Picking up from last episode, Niecy goes out for a night on the town with her girls, blowing more of her settlement check on a VIP table with plenty of hookah and bottles. They get to talking about Dante, with Niecy foolishly thinking that Dante wants to be a family with her, Isabelle and Treyvion (who isn't even his son), but really he's using her for her money.

In The Spotlight: Podcaster Loren "Lo Skeet" Gross

Happy to bring ya'll another great person to spotlight in 2017!

I recently linked up with a fellow BGSU alum, Loren "Lo Skeet" Gross, to speak about his podcast "Inaudible Raucous", which has currently been going on strong for 43 weeks straight! The podcast involves Lo speaking on a variety of topics including pop culture, health, sports, social justice, financial advice, etc. As a student of the radio art form since he was 13, Lo said he got the idea to do a podcast about three years ago when he started to see a shift in the radio industry. After much procrastination, the podcaster started his up last year in 2016. The idea for the name came after speaking with some friends about oxymorons that catch people's attention. From there, he thought of a "clever way to spin cliche terms like “Sounds from the Underground” or “The Quiet Riot." Lo stated, "I went to a thesaurus and picked those two words: Inaudible and Raucous."

RECAP: "Helter Shelter"-The Challenge: Invasion of the Champions, E3

MTV

After this week,
The Challenge: Invasion of the Champions is about to get a lot more interesting!

Picking up from last week, at the Shelter, the house gets a clue in a bucket: "Tomorrow's the only time in this game that you'll want to be a floater." Definitely meaning something with water! Surprise little twist, though: those have earned their way into the Oasis, though, get to kick back and watch! Looks like they get a break from competing since they've already won a spot in the real house!

Top Moments of the 2017 Grammy Awards

CBS

The 2017 Grammy Awards had some awesome moments and incredible performances, and was overall great to watch.

Hosted by James Corden, it was definitely music's biggest night, filled with its share of downfalls, of course, but the good outweighed the bad. Watch some of the top moments below!

List of Winners at the 2017 Grammy Awards

Chris Pizello/AP

Last night's Grammy Awards were great to watch, and it was interesting to see who did (and did not) take home an award!

Adele and Chance the Rapper were definitely the big winners of the night, with Adele taking home the biggest awards, including Album of the Year! David Bowie was also posthumously honored with five Grammys for work on his final studio album, Blackstar. Of course, because of time, the majority of the winners were not announced on air, but congratulations to all who took home the coveted award!

Check out some of the top winners below (the full list is available on The Grammys website)!

#MondayMotivation

Good morning everybody...it's Monday, and here's some #MondayMotivation to get your week started off right!

The road to success is HARD, y'all. Very hard. No matter what you're working towards. Maybe it's getting healthier. Maybe it's building up your own business. Maybe it's trying to get that degree. No matter what it is, the journey to reaching a goal is quite difficult and tiring.

Yet and still, you can't stop when you're tired. When you stop every time you're tired, you're just prolonging the process of getting further along in your journey. You have to choose to push past feelings of fatigue, or insecurity, or doubt, to continue towards your purpose. If it was easy, everybody would do it. So don't stop when you're tired...stop when you're done.

Throwback Jam of the Week: "Heartbreak Hotel"-Whitney Houston feat. Faith Evans & Kelly Price

It's Throwback Thursday, and we're back with another jam from back in the day!

It's crazy to believe that Saturday will mark five years since the legendary Whitney Houston passed away. Through all the ups and downs and even after her tragic passing, Whitney is still treasured in music and will forever be. Her voice was one of a kind!

One of my favorite hits from the singer was "Heartbreak Hotel" with Faith Evans and Kelly Price. Lyrically, it's a song of hurt and sadness, but musically, this joint is a BOP! And these talented three worked well as a trio on this song. When it comes on, I still sing and dance my heart out like I'm going through it myself...definitely a classic.

RECAP: The Challenge: Invasion of the Champions Season Premiere

MTV

Man, I missed The Challenge! The latest installation of the hit show is back on MTV, and I'm recapping every step of the way!

This season is The Challenge: Invasion of the Champions...only the people in the house right now don't know that yet. In Krabi, Thailand, we see 18 underdogs — some who have competed before and some who haven't. There's a lot of new faces from these seasons of Real World and/or Are You The One (which I don't watch anymore so I wouldn't know who's who and where they're from) and some old. However, the common factor among them all is that none of them have actually won a challenge.

RECAP: "Getting Schooled"-Being Mary Jane S4, E4

BET

This season of Being Mary Jane is really looking to be one of growth for our girl MJ!

Picking up from last week, MJ pitches a story idea about a kid in New Jersey, Calhoun Jeffries who was wearing a kilt out and about. His dad sees him, and smacks him around for it, eventually dragging him away, which sparks a conversation online about fashion statements like this and acceptance in the black community. Does it really determine gender or sexual identity, or is it just fashion...and was the dad in the wrong or was he just trying to protect his kid?

NEW ALBUM: 'Maj' - R&B Singer/Songwriter BrownBoi Maj

New music for y'all this morning...the debut album, Maj, from R&B singer/songwriter BrownBoi Maj!

Released via Team Jon Doe/Capital Visuals, the album is a mix of 90s pop/R&B with today's "new wave" sound. The album is said to give listeners "honest and pure music" that they'll be able to automatically relate to. BrownBoi Maj is "speaking for the broke boys…those who might be socially awkward. The ones who feel like they can’t get THAT girl," per press release.

The 11-track album includes BrownBoi’s latest singles, "Lo$er" feat. the artist's fellow Team Jon Doe recording artist, JusXJustice and "$he" along with other hit tracks, "Broke Boi," “Drip” feat. E-Batt & Davinci and “Drop” feat. Cruise & Loh.

#MondayMotivation

Good morning y'all...here's some #MondayMotivation to help you get through the week!

I am a planner. I have been a planner for a good majority of my life. If it's one thing life has taught me, after graduating college especially, it's that life doesn't always go according to how YOU planned it. Not Plan A, or Plan B, etc. etc. But you have to keep calm and keep going. Re-adjust and work some things around. Everything will work out exactly how it's supposed to, when it's supposed to. And often, it's not how you'd planned it...but it turns out to be even better!

Throwback Jam of the Week: "No More"-Ruff Endz

It's Throwback Thursday, and we've got another great jam from back in the day!

Ruff Endz is one of my favorite R&B groups, probably the most underrated on my list. Nonetheless, they had some hits including "No More!" On the track, Dante ("Chi") and David ("Davinch") called out their girlfriends for being golddiggers, and shut down all their VIP treatment in a pretty classic early '00s video!

The group is on the comeback, with plans to drop a new album on Valentine's Day. And I, for one, am glad they're coming back!

RECAP: "Getting Real"- Being Mary Jane S4, E3

BET

Finally, we got a new episode of Being Mary Jane last night! It’s been a few weeks, and I know I’ve definitely been missing it.

Picking up from the last episode, Mary Jane goes to visit Paul, Jr at a condo in NYC valued at $15 MILLION! I guess PJ’s into luxury real estate now. Turns out that he's managing the place while one of his clients is out of the country. Mary Jane wants him to find her a nice spot like that…but at a much lower price obviously.

At Great Day USA, Mary Jane has to now with the aftermath of Ronda backstabbing her and bringing MJ’s old producer Justin (Michael Ealy) in the mix. MJ and Kara see Justin playing around with the higher ups at the network, a way to suck up to them no doubt. So now these two have to figure out how to get better stories. At that moment, as if he overheard them, Justin comes over to tell them that a segment Kara’s been working on all morning is being bumped for another interview. Oh, this is going to be a longggg arc with this guy at the network.
