Kevin Hart Starring in TV Special to Teach His Daughter and Others About Black History

If Hidden Figures has reminded us of anything, it's that black people have made significant contributions to American history, and it's often swept under the rug. 

Sure, we learn about the important Civil Rights Movement and those leaders that worked towards the cause, Harriet Tubman, and other well known figures (all of whom are important, do not get me wrong!). But each year around Black History Month, those same leaders and figures are highlighted all the time through media, in school presentations, and the like. So we have a slanted view of all of the contributions that black people have made.

Kevin Hart is seeking to change that by starring in an upcoming TV special on black history! The special, Kevin Hart Presents: The Black Man’s Guide to History, will feature more hidden black figures that have made major impacts to society.

The 2016 MTV Movie Awards, hosted by Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart, aired last night (Apr. 10) filmed at the Warner Bros. Studios in Burbank, Calif. Though the show did not air live as was tradition, the night was full of epic moments and hilarity! And, of course, plenty of awards were given for out for this year's top movies!

MTV has announced the nominees for the 2016 MTV Movie Awards, which will be hosted by Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Kevin Hart, on April 10 at 8 p.m. ET/PT. This year's show will also mark 25 years that the awards have been airing, so it's definitely going to be a great show!

Star Wars: The Force Awakens leads the pack with 11 nominations, with Deadpool snagging 8 noms! The nominations include typical categories like Movie of the Year, Best Male and Best Female Performance, etc, but also MTV's standard, creative categories like Breakthrough Performance, Best Kiss, and Best Fight!  Fans are able to cast their votes for their favorite movies online now through March 20, so get to voting guys!

REVIEW: BET Awards 2014

Time for my annual BET Awards review! I actually worked half the night to get it ready for the morning, but have a lot more to do before I leave for CANADA in a few days!

Of course, the night kicked off with the Pre-Show, which everyone always has playing in the background as they finish up some last minute things before the actual show starts. However, I actually watched mostly due to Adrienne Bailon who co-shosted with Shad Moss (formerly known as Bow Wow), Keshia Chante, and Lloyd Boston. As a blogger trying to get to the next level, I always like to watch people interview others, and their dynamics back and forth, and I thought Adrienne did a great job. Which is why I'll be watching The Real this fall!

Kevin Hart Tweets Apology After DUI Arrest

Comedian Kevin Hart took to Twitter to apologize after he was arrested and locked up for a night on suspicion of drunk driving charges in Los Angeles.

"Drinking & driving is not a game or a laughing matter," he tweeted. "People have lost lives because of stupid s--t. This is a wake-up call for me, I have to be smarter & last night I wasn't. Everything happens for a reason."

Police said that Kevin was pulled over on California's Highway 101 freeway around 4:30 a.m. Sunday. His black Mercedes, going about 90 m.p.h., almost hit a tanker truck as Kevin was driving. He then failed a field sobriety test, and was arrested on a misdemeanor DUI charge and held on $5,000 bond.

The comedian that he is, Kevin made light of his arrest in the tweet. "When the cop asked me to take the sobriety test I said 'Why waste our time… I'm drunk man'… #Truestory." He added about his time spent behind bars: "I did 6,000 push ups & 13,000 sit ups while I was in the pin....shout out to my celly 'Mark' we exchanged war stories LMFAO.”

While the tweet is a little funny, being arrested for DUI is definitely not! Hope Kev learned his lesson and never does something that stupid again. Drinking and driving is not only dangerous to your life, but to others as well. Just a short PSA from me!

REVIEW: 2012 MTV Video Music Awards

One of the biggest nights for MTV is the Video Music Awards, the night to honor artists with the classic Moonman in different categories!

As always, the event kicked off with the pre-show. The star-studded red carpet featured appearances from top celebs like One Direction, 2 Chainz, and The Wanted and we even got a performance  from new X-Factor judge Demi Lovato (I love her)!

Before the main event even started, three Moonmen were given out. Demi Lovato won the first official Moonman of the night for Best Video with A Message for her song "Skyscraper." DJ Calvin Harris snagged one for Best Electronic Dance Music (EDM) Video for "Feel So Close," and the ever so popular British-Irish boy band One Direction got a Moonman for Most Shareworthy Video for "What Makes You Beautiful." Between these guys and Justin Bieber, girls FALL OUT!

Real Husbands of Hollywood!

Haha here is the 3-part skit from the BET Awards that had everybody rolling, "Real Husbands of Hollywood," featuring Kevin Hart, Nelly, Jermaine Dupri, Bobby Brown, and Nick Cannon. The skit was a parody of top reality shows, "Basketball Wives" and "The Real Housewives of Atlanta," and the like. Even had a feature from Basketball Wife Tami Roman. Hands down, one of my favorite moments of the show last night. Definitely would LOVE if it could be a real show! Hey, Skank Robbers from BET Awards 2009 is going to be a movie. May as well! Model's Hair Catches Fire At Dirty Money's Party!

LOL Afternoon people! I saw this video and I just had to share!

I was reading MajicATL just now, and I saw this story. Apparently, last night at Diddy and Dirty Money's album release party for their album Last Train To Paris, comedian Kevin Hart was chilling with Trey Songz and Fabolous at the London Hotel in NY. The three were in a bathroom surrounded by models in bikinis. One girl is in a hot tub surrounded by candles, and well....yeah. Her weave catches fire. LOL I couldn't help but laugh, though. Probably not right to, but oh well because what are you all doing in there with candles all around the tub anyway?! And notice how calm Trey was haha. Check the video yourself below!
