MUSIC VIDEO: "The Greatest"-Sia feat. Kendrick Lamar

Sia has released another inspiring song (and video!) for fans, featuring Kendrick Lamar!

While neither Sia nor Kendrick appear in the video, the music video features Sia's mentee, Maddie Ziegler (of Dance Moms' fame), leading other children and adults in dance throughout the visual. "Letdowns will get you and the critics will test you," Sia sings on the track. "But the strongest survive... another scar may bless you."

Sia's visuals have featured Maddie for quite some time, seeing as though Sia herself prefers not to be seen. The videos are always a bit odd, but you can always get a strong message behind Sia's music definitely!

NEW MUSIC: "Real Friends" - Kanye West feat. Ty Dolla $ign/"No More Parties In L.A." (Snippet) feat. Kendrick Lamar

After Kim Kardashian teased us that a new Kanye West track was coming today and that Kanye's "G.O.O.D. Fridays" will be coming back, Kanye has blessed us with a new track "Real Friends" feat. Ty Dolla $ign! Along with that track, the rapper also serves us a snippet of another song "No More Parties In L.A." feat. Kendrick Lamar at the end of the track.

Complete List of Winners for Grammys 2014!

Last night was the 56th Annual Grammy Awards! I couldn't do a review, because I unashamedly flipped back and forth between the show and Bravo for most of the night. I was bored with most of it, minus a few performances including Beyoncé and Jay-Z's performance of "Drunk In Love," and Kendrick Lamar's collab with Imagine Dragons. 

Big winners of the night included Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, Daft Punk, and Lorde. There were some definite snubs, but that's every year. Check out the full list of winners below!  

REVIEW: BET Awards 2013

Last night was the biggest night of the year for BET—the star-studded BET Awards 2013! Of course, I’ve been reviewing this show since I started The Spotlight, so, for the fifth time, here we go!

The pre-show, hosted by Angela Simmons and Bow Wow (they really did fire those other 106 & Park hosts, huh?), was simply the pre-show. Nothing bad. Nothing great either. You watch to see if your favorite artists will be interviewed or if you’ll see them on the red carpet. We saw stars like Mindless Behavior, J. Cole, Big Sean, Charlie Wilson, and power couples like Robin Thicke and Paula Patton, as well Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade. Tamar Braxton even took the first award for the night--the Centric Award for "Love and War!" And her post-baby body looks great! Congrats to her! The performances were nothing spectacular to me, mostly because I don’t listen to or know anybody who performed really. After a while, it all starts to sound the same, so I just waited for the show to begin.

"Power Circle"-Maybach Music Group (OFFICIAL VIDEO)

Maybach Music Group's Self Made 2 dropped today, and of course, I got my copy! I pre-ordered some weeks ago. In celebration of the compilation album dropping, which features boss Rick Ross, Wale, Meek Mill, Stalley, and new MMG addition Omarion, the group dropped the video for single "Power Circle," the intro track. The single features Kendrick Lamar. The whole album also has collaborations with Nas, French Montana, and more. Check out the video below!
