Robert De Niro Set To Receive Lifetime Achievement Award at the Sarajevo Film Festival

Robert De Niro is being awarded a huge honor for his acting work! 

The actor will receive a lifetime achievement award, the Heart of Sarajevo, on the opening night of the 22nd Sarajevo Film Festival, which will run from Aug. 12-20.

Robert will also present Martin Scorsese’s restored “Taxi Driver,” for its 40th anniversary (Robert also starred in the flick). He will be interviewed as well about his career, detailing how much he has done, and what it's taken to stay around so long!

Previous recipients of the Heart of Sarajevo Award include Angelina Jolie, Benicio Del Toro, Gael Garcia Bernal and Steve Buscemi.

Robert's definitely very deserving of this award! He has had so many roles, playing diverse characters, over his career span, and continues to do great work. Definitely a living legend...congrats to him!
