Born and raised in Called, Curepe in Northeast Trinidad, the artist admitted that he came from humble beginnings. However, he was inspired and motivated by his parents’ strong work ethic. “I saw my parents work and hustle every day, especially my father who had more than one job and had a natural ability to invest his earnings,” KASH said. “Seeing this, I was always intrigued by different ways of making money.” KASH’s love and appreciation for music began at a young age, as he was exposed to a variety of genres from hip-hop, reggae, and dancehall to rock and alternative. He would often visit his cousin’s house as well and watch shows like Rap City, 106 & Park and TRL, which further sparked his interest in music.
